Chapters 9 through 17 cover introductory plant science including an introduction to the crops grown. Chapters 18 through 29 provide an introduction to animal science, including brief chapters on the different types of livestock production. Chapter 30 leads to a discussion on some of the issues in agriculture. Chapter 31 points students to some of the many careers in agriculture, food and natural resources. Finally, chapter 32 outlines some the government agencies and programs affecting agriculture. The glossary contains words from animal, plant and soil science.
